On 06/30/15 at approximately 1249 hrs., Officers were dispatched to the area of Sandpiper and Blackhawk for a report of a male inside their residence. The male had entered the residence while they were not at home. Upon seeing the owners, the male fled the residence. The male was described as 16-17 years of age, approximately 5’07”, thin build, and having heavy facial acne. The male was wearing a baseball hat with a red bill, a white t-shirt with print on the front, and tan cargo shorts.
In talking with residents in the neighborhood, a couple of residents advised that a male matching that description had been selling door to door. None of the residents that Officers spoke with had purchased anything from the male.
It is unknown if this is the same male or if the male was legitimately selling items. It is unknown if this male was selling items or looking for residences where no one was home. Just be cautious of what is going on around you, what people may be trying to sell you, and who you are letting in to your home.
